Was The Modern Revolution A Positive Global Force?
The modern world is shaped by a series of events that are called Modern Revolution. It began during the beginning of the Industrial Revolution and has continued over the past 200 years. The globalization of the world and faster rates of innovation are all results of the Industrial Revolution. The Modern Revolution has been an overall positive global force because it has allowed human to sustain a larger global population, increase literacy and education, as well as leading to the development of new inventions and technologies that have made the lives of people easier.

The Modern Revolution is a positive force because it has caused the human population to grow at an increased rate. This is a result of the industrial revolution which has led to a surplus of food. One such example is vaccines which have made many diseases obsolete around the world. In the US cases of smallpox, diphtheria, and polio have been reduced by 100 percent (Text 5). The number of cases of tetanus and measles have also been reduced by more than 99 percent, and the cases of mumps have been reduced to 2 cases from 162, 344 cases expected otherwise (Text 5). Overall, vaccines have resulted in lower mortality rates which allows humans to focus resources on other fields. Technologies like computers and the internet have been created have allowed humans to be more connected than ever before. The internet allows people around the world to communicate easily. These inventions promote collective learning by increasing the number of connections globally.
