Was The New Deal A Success Or Failure

The new deal was a success to some, and a fail to others. It had many reasons for its success though. People can say The New Deal failed, but it did in fact bigger successes than failures. Roosevelt addressed the problems the best he could and it showed. Roosevelt's New deal was a huge influence all around, Roosevelt became the people's hero, he released acts that provided valuable economic and social infrastructures, and provided many people with relief, recovery, and reform. Roosevelt was the people's hero. He became loved by many people he supported. “In 1944, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to an unprecedented fourth term in office. Roosevelt rose above personal and political challenges to emerge as one of the nation’s most revered and influential presidents.”(history.com) The challenges he faced proved himself to be the leader the people needed. This shows his success at facing the issues of that time, just by the following he had. Many of the acts Roosevelt provided helped millions. His promise of a New Deal shaped almost immediately. “ In the short term, New Deal programs helped improve the lives of people suffering from the events of the depression. Some say that he didn't help the situations the country was facing during The Great depression with The New Deal, but he went into office at the wrong time and did a lot for the country still. He spoke of Relief, Recovery, and Reform programs that gave mass amounts of help the country desperately needed. “The programs created to meet these goals generated jobs and more importantly, hope. They also generated what refer to today as "alphabet soup;" a series of acts and agencies that created a huge federal bureaucracy.”(B.J.) Many goals were accomplished under The New Deal, helping The Great Depression
