The Water Goblin is known as a creature of European mythology, called the Vodyanoy. He was depicted as an elderly man with a frog face and covered in mud and algae. The Slavic version of the Vodyanoy depicts the goblin with a human body, green skin, gills, webbed hands and often wearing old, patchy clothing. He is known to capture the souls of those he drowns, and keep them in
his porcelain cup.
