We All Fall Down Chapter 7 Summary

Chapter 7 of “We All Fall Down”. I really enjoyed chapter 7 because of how well it was written. I particularly liked reading the very start of the chapter, it drew you immediately into the situation out of the storyline. At the start of the chapter, Will is in shock, as he saw people jumping out of the building and deliberately killing themselves. They believed they were about to die. With each sentence I read, I felt as if I was there experiencing this incredibly tragic moment, and it made me think of how terrifying people must have felt to be in the situation of attempting to end their lives.
Later in the chapter, I was drawn in and could relate to Will’s dad as he went around and told everyone to evacuate - I would have acted in the same way, I would not be able to cope in life, if I had not given people in any type of similar situation, a chance to survive. I did not like or appreciate however, how the stubborn business man bossed Will’s dad around. I would have said if you want to leave, then leave, you are risking your life, and then I would have left him alone.
Were the people going to die? Will someone rescue them? Or will they find a safe path down?
I did struggle, however, with the devastation that was caused by the design of the building. I think that the building should have had a different way out when in an emergency besides the stairs – it was way too hard for so many people to get down the stairs, and far too difficult for people to also get up the stairs to put out a huge
