Friendship- the inseparable bond that people strive to have with one another. In the novella Of Mice and Men, by John Steinbeck, he writes about a pair of friends that have stuck by each other for a long time. George and Lennie exhibit the qualities of a true friendship. The pair is each other’s best friend, they support each other, in addition remain willing to do anything for the other person. Lennie is mentally challenged, which can create problems for the pair since he does not realize what he is doing while he is doing it. Due to Lennie’s impaired cognition, George has to constantly watch over Lennie, or he risks Lennie making a mistake. Their friendship leaves the pair vulnerable to other people’s words,
