Riordan Manufacturing is using different business systems throughout their branches. These different systems are causing difficulties, which produces errors in reporting and argument between these branches. San Jose has a license for a fully integrated Windows system without application source code. Michigan has a vendor software application that is no longer supported due to the vendor no longer being in business. To compound the issue, Georgia’s software is from a different vendor than Michigan’s vendor. A company that uses multiple systems will run into numerous difficulties, which can be prevented or resolved by planning and integration of a single business system that was designed and configured for all braches to access and use.…
The granting of sublicensing could have a negative affect and different factors need to be evaluated before proceeding. For instance, sublicensing could erode Cadmex's profit share, and pose a risk, if the licensee is producing and selling patented pharmaceuticals on the open market. According to University of Phoenix Addressing International Legal and Ethical Issues (2014), under TRIPS,Article 31(f) allows for compulsory licensing of pharmaceuticals in the event of a health emergency; given the political climate in Candor, it could lead to such misuse by way of such a government declaration. If CadMex's agreement is not properly executed, it could allow the sub licensee to extend that license to others, leading to a licensee…

Although I had a lot of major projects, I also assisted with smaller tasks. Some of these tasks needed to be completed prior to my other projects. For instance, the new HRIS HealthStream was launched on June 8th 2016. After my training, I helped label and stuff envelopes which contained usernames and passwords for all employees to access their HealthStream account. Afterwards, they had to be placed alphabetically and separated into their departments. The paperwork and mailing essentials arrived less than a week before the launch. This meant the whole HR department, including myself, was responsible for getting all of the employees their paperwork before the launch. This minor task was so important that I even volunteered to come in during my…

Team A will analyze the individual and organizational values of Home Depot and evaluate the plans and actions currently in place. The purpose of this analysis is to provide a clear understanding of personal and professional values of the workplace. We will discuss the degree of alignment between the organizational values, plans, and actions. After we gather this information, we will provide an explanation of the differences between our values and that of Home Depot.…
After reviewing the results of the survey given to the employees, it became apparent that the degree in which the questions were answered did not yield a clear enough understanding to why so many employees were dissatisfied and left the company. The questions were administered using a survey and handed out along with pay statements to everyone within the study criteria. The survey used was developed to provide data regarding the overall work environment and its affect on the level of satisfaction. The answers were to be measured from employee responses. Unfortunately, the amount of participation needed was not obtained and the survey did not produce useful findings. Some of the information needed was not asked in the survey questions, errors were made when keying the information into the spreadsheet, and the response rate was astonishingly low at 17.3 percent.…
Since the beginning of time and into present times great leaders and decision makers have mastered the art of delegation. Over history we have seen the end product of what a great leader with delegation skills can accomplish using their most valuable resource, people. In biblical scripture examples of delegation can be seen in the choosing of “disciples” by Jesus himself in order to accomplish various tasks and missions. All great prominent generals from the times of Julies Ceaser to today’s modern generals such as David Petraeus, example effective delegation and its role in making them effective leaders. In my military time I witnessed firsthand the effective implementation of delegation and its successful outcomes. I have unfortunately also witnessed the failure and degradation of a unit’s effectiveness with poor delegation and it subsequent negative consequences. Knowing effective delegation is a timeless tool that any aspiring leader should hone and keep handy in there “back pocket” of managerial skills.…

Though there are 8 different training types that have been associated with I/O psychology, not all will have the same efficacy in employee development. Some of the associated training types may have ethical or legal deficiencies that do not make them as effective in employee training as the others. For example, the use of audiovisual instruction may imply that there is legal or confidentiality issues involved with the use of these digital video instruments, according to Sampson (1983). Additionally, if the companies hiring or recruitment process is done online, then it is also possible for breach of confidential and private information to be misused if the necessary digital encryption pathways are not placed by the organization. This could be cause for legal action on the part of the affected recruits and prospective employees. On ethical level, the use of audiovisual or online instruction many thwart the ability of a prospective employee the ability to engage in their job training at full capacity as one would if there were an actual live person teaching the individual. The use of audiovisual instruction may allow for the use of shortcuts by a prospective tester. Additionally, if the trainee or prospective employee is not technologically adept to these tools, they may not succeed at their training and not get the job. A more suitable training that will overcome the deficiencies of the audiovisual and structuring would be the use of conferences. Conferences allow the trainee to become involved in lecture and study at a high level. The use of conferences allows individuals to associate and work with individuals on the same core educational techniques and receive immediate instruction if necessary. Though there are many different types of training methods and tactics, the more important thing to remember is that the according to Spector (2008), certain discrimination laws have been implemented to eliminate workplace…
Explain how you will deliver your health education tool to the participating family. Address the following:…
The business that I wrote about was the one that we have done for our group projects and just so happened to be the one I chose to do from week one. The business is Landslide Limousine and I was told to hit a few different point by Traci. They were “Alignment of the performance management framework to the organizational business strategy, Organizational performance philosophy, The job analysis process you will complete to identify the skills needed by employees, Methods used for measuring the employee 's skills, Process for addressing skill gaps and the Approach for delivering effective performance feedback” (University of Phoenix, 2015). The principles and strategies that I applied to my business should be the same that should work for any other business that any other member chose. Other members might have chosen other principles and strategies but ones I chose will work for any company. I went over Organization environments and how they are rich in feedback. “They stress continuous improvement, promote risk taking, offer one-on-one coaching, and afford opportunities to learn from the successes and failures of decisions” (University of Phoenix, 2015.) Next I talked about the company’s vision, mission and values and how they are important for a company both new and old. Then you need to provide data for job or competency analyses and apply them towards an HR department and set the HR department on their way for success. I touched on PET’s which are pre-employment training and how it will help gain the necessary employees as well as, help them gain necessary skills to be effective in their new jobs. I then spoke about practicing and on the job training to get all employees on the Limousine Company on the same page ad to make them more skillful at their jobs.…
The experience of growing up in Chicago is polarizing. It’s one of the most diverse cities in the country, yet, one of the most segregated. I am grateful for living in a neighborhood that had every range of diversity in terms of racial background, ethnic background, gender, age, and socioeconomic status. The most obvious characteristic in which Chicago neighborhoods are divided are by race and socioeconomic status. As I grew up I was constantly surrounded by people who looked different from me, spoke different languages, ate different food, and had different family structures and traditions. I didn’t think much of it because that was normal.…
I grew in a very small town known as Tunica, MS (sugar Dutch). Tunica has always been segregated white people go to one school and black to another school. The white people live in the “white folks sub” and downtown tunica. The neighbor I was raised in was called the “old sub” everybody knew each other and everybody was family. Our neighbor was called the “old sub” because it is one of Tunica Co. oldest subdivision, majority of the houses was in bad living condition. We only had two store and four churches.…
