Describe your ethical perspectives as identified by the Ethical Lens Inventory, including your blind spot, strengths, weaknesses, and values.
My ethics lens inventory results were right and responsibility lens which says that I am rational when making decision on my duties. It says that my values are protecting individual’s rights and believe that everyone should be treated fairly. My classical value temperance says that I know who I am and I know how to act with integrity. My blind spot is that I believe motives justify methods. Which means that I can cause someone else pain when I only focus on “my” good motives and may overlook someone else feelings an take them for granted. My weakness is being autocratic (bossy). I look for everyone to do it my way and I do not consider any other approaches once I made up my mind.
Define what personal ethics means to you and how you apply it within the workplace.
Personal ethics means to me is having integrity with oneself. I will apply it to my workplace daily, by developing the trust with my employers and coworkers. I will uphold any policy and procedure that are in place to secure information and better maintain the company values. Not to just be seen as a good employee but as someone who value personal integrity.

You need to take the day off to attend an event at your child’s school, but you don’t have any vacation time. Your work is really strict with sick time, and you are only allowed to take it if you are sick. You have more than enough sick time. Do you call in sick?
