The government should abolish welfare because people that work get money taken from them, people that do not have a job receive food stamps, and the people that are unemployed or don't want a job still get free money. Our country is going to fall apart if we don't put a stop to welfare checks.
Hard working americans that have a job, but yet have to give up money to our government so they can pay the poor free money is not right. If someone has a job and is already not making a lot of money, how is that doing them any good if they also have to have money taken out of their paycheck to give to the people without a job. If welfare was abolished, then these people that will not get a job will no longer get a free ride in life. …show more content…
Just imagine having a job and making money and then getting that money taken from you to pay the people that are at home not doing anything. These people are taking our earnings and this is a problem in our society today.
The citizens with no jobs are not only taking money from us, but are not doing the economy any good by living off of food stamps.
The citizens with no jobs and do not help the economy in any way, are living just like the rest of us. Just imagine working all day long and knowing that while you're working, you are actually paying the people at home not doing anything. They are able to use the checks from the government and food stamps to help them live and all they need to do is go find a job and get paid. The people with jobs are also paying for the food stamps also.
The unemployed are taking money from the people that actually want to do something with their life and survive. The 1990s produced a host of unexpected economic good news. Contrary to all economic predictions, unemployment fell to 4 percent by the end of the decade and inflation remained low and stable. That being said, if year by year the rate of unemployment keeps dropping, we will not have many workers and we will continue to see businesses shutting down. If we don't do anything to stop welfare, then this is what is going to continue to happen.
Essentially, welfare needs to be abolished. People that work are getting harmed by it and people that are not helping the economy by getting a job, benefit from it. Equality is a big thing and this is not equality by keeping welfare checks for the poor and lazy. As you can see, our economy is going down hill until the government does something about
it.
