The Articles of Confederation were effective in many different ways. It affected us today because it established a new form of government, for us, the new nation. In the following paragraphs, the extent to which the Articles of Confederation were effective in solving problems that confronted us as the new nation will be gone over and described. Without the Articles of Confederation, many think those problems would still be here today, and surely could have affected the country in a negative way. From forming new policies, which helped our new country, to setting up an economy, these Articles of Confederation ended up being a big deal for us nowadays. Many say that the ineffective took over these articles of confederation , making it seem like this just showed the new nation that there was too much to fix, but, with that, always comes the good side. The good side boeing we were starting our new country, and trying our best to find our mistakes and/or problems and tried to fix them as soon as we could. First, the parts of the Articles of Confederation that lacked will be explained. Overall, the confederation just could not function well. The biggest struggle is what lead to many different other problems, this problem was the simple object of money. Money was greatly needed as they did not fully have the ability to be able to deal with foreign affairs, which also was involved with power issues. The majority of the new nation's problems were never solved by the Articles of Confederation. The articles were successfully effective in a number of different ways. In all they had several accomplishments, including the Confederation government, which, did struggle with some money issues, but still provided the degree of central authority. In addition to that, the two northwest ordinances were very effective in solving the problems and issues in the northwest lands, proving an orderly division, a way of financing debts of the confederacy, and also a system for the admission of new states into the union on equal levels with other states, as well as the important fact that slavery was prohibited in the new nation. Without the ability to tax the articles of confederation could not function as well as it could have if it was able to tax. Which was the biggest problem, because, like it was stated before, the new government wasn't able to make as much money as it would if they did tax, and money was a huge issue. *It is almost just like today when a brand new, iPhones for example, comes out. As it comes out the hype of it is so big that everybody wants it. But, when it does come out, it doesn't live up to the potential that people thought it would, just like the articles of confederation. This new phone has all these problems that everyone likes to
