My mom was struggling to stay on her feet by pacing herself with her money just like Buck, He had to pace learn to pace himself so he doesn't over do it when dragging the sled. My dad always started fight with my mom about who gets what, same as Buck and Spitz. Spitz tries to take everything from Buck but like my mom he doesn't let spitz do that. Mom had to figure out how she was going to take care of me and her at the same time, just like Buck he had to figure out how to get extra food and how to survive the cold in order to take care of himself. Buck was beaten which showed a lot of violence and pain in his life. My mom had to deal with my dad who was a violent drunk and always tried hurting my mom. Buck kept doing what it took in order to become leader of sled and take charge. My mom did the same she stood up to my dad and became in charge and she got custody of me and made my dad pay child support. Even though Buck and my mom had things to differ they still had some strong connections between each
