What Are The Cruel And Unusual Experiments In The Holocaust

The Holocaust was one of the darkest times in history. During World War II the Nazi party was gaining power. Hitler believed that the Aryan race were superior. Hitler also believed the Jewish people were to blame for losing World War I. The Holocaust was a genocide of the Jewish. Jews were taken from their homes and taken to ghettos, which were crowded unsanitary housing. After living in uncomfortable conditions, they were moved to concentration camps. These camps weren’t made for people to survive. The largest camp was Auschwitz. Jews were forced into doing work and nearly starved to death. While in the camp, Jews were inhumanly experimented on like animals. The doctors would do many cruel and unusual experiments.First, they would do freezing water experiments.They would submerge the prisoners inside the freezing water and depending on the situation they would force them to get naked as well.They did this because they wanted to find a cure for hypothermia.This would lead to many deaths and sometimes permanently damage the prisoners bodies.Another thing they would do is high altitude.They did this because they wanted to know what the German pilots experienced and they also wanted to find out the best way to save German pilots.The
experimenters would purposely duplicate the conditions of a German pilot and sometimes put them in a low pressure chambers.They would make the altitudes as high as 68,000 feet and watched them until they collapsed or sometimes died.

Another thing doctors did was they tried to make seawater drinkable.They would force the prisoners to only drink seawater and deprived them from food and regular drinking water.This failed because this would cause the prisoners to be extremely dehydrated.The prisoners were so dehydrated they would lick the floors after they would be freshly mopped.This would cause the prisoners so much pain and suffering and result to permanent injuries.Another thing they would is use poison to kill and torture the prisoners.They would test many chemicals to the human body just for scientific reasons.The poison was used as another way for execution in the camps.This would lead to many deaths and permanent injuries. Lastly, Dr. Carl Clauberg performed medical experiments in Auschwitz. He artificially inseminated Jews and and gypsy women with chemicals. They went through so much pain. They suffered from inflamed ovaries, bleeding and bursting spasms in their stomach. He would tease them but saying it was animal sperm. He wanted them to believe that they were growing a monster inside them. He also placed Jews into x-ray machines and burned them. This was also another method of extermination. Clauberg was sentenced to 25 years in trial but after 7 years he was excused. He was later arrested after survivor protests but died before trial. In conclusion, the Holocaust lead to many cruel atrocities to the human and Jewish race.The nazi experimentation lead to many life threatening and permanently damaged deaths.By doing these experiments taught doctors many things like hypothermia,tuberculosis,and transplants.The experiments were extremely cruel and unnatural.The experiments held on the prisoners affected their lives forever.All the experiments the nazis did was very inhuman and many lives were affected by it.The nazi coordinators and experimenters did everything to benefit the Aryan race, but didn't think about the consequences to come with it.
