1-Identify and describe the four earth subsystems and explain how they interrelate. The four earth subsystems are atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere, and lithosphere. “The atmosphere is the mixture of gases that surround the Earth. The hydrosphere is all waters on Earth, including subsurface and atmospheric water. The biosphere is all living organisms on Earth, including those on the land, in the water, and in the air. The lithosphere is the solid portion of the Earth, which is made up of rocks and minerals.”
These four earth subsystems are independent and can function alone, but, when they interact with one another events happen like: tornadoes, tsunamis and numerous other interactions. These interactions can happen between two of the subsystems or all four.
