What Are The Similarities Between Romeo And Juliet And West Side Story
Both have special endings that provide the audience a chance to catch the moral of the stories. In Romeo and Juliet the hatred between the two families resulted in the deaths of their children. Romeo and Juliet’s love for one another was in no way going to be broken and they decided to end their lives because they felt they could not live without each other’s love. Maria also had an unbreakable love for Tony, but what stands out in the ending of West Side Story is how Maria understands that all the violence was what ultimately lead to Tony’s death. Furthermore, explaining that Bernardo and Riff’s death were truly an act of hatred and violence as well. Both Romeo and Juliet and West Side Story, allows the audience to ask what different outcome
