My selected theme song I believe personally portrays my attitude and outlook towards life is the song titled “What Can I do” by Tye Tribette. Composed by two individuals (Angelo Mincey and Kj Scriven), this song is one of many on his album titled “Greater than” which was released in 2013. The genre of this song which was released under the record label EMI/Motown gospel is classified as religious R&B.
I chose this song, because I believe it adequately represents my thankful and grateful attitude towards life. Since the evolution of mankind from (primitiveness till today), it is almost incontrovertible that man has always relied on some form of ‘higher power’.

When a song is as heavily covered as Fats Domino’s “Ain’t That A Shame” from his album Rock and Rollin with Fats Domino you know that there is something special about it. With recording artists such as Pat Boone, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and even the 1970s rock group, Cheap Trick recording the song many people know at least one version. However the original version has a special something about it that helps it stand out from the many covers. The song has an enticing hook, interesting historical context, and is an earworm that was with me for several days after I first heard the song.…

The arrangment we did was Pentatonix’s version of the song. “Mary, Did You Know?” was originally written by Mark Lowery and the music composed by Buddy Green in 1991. The song was then released, sung by Micheal English, on the album Micheal English.…

The first song that would be on her playlist would be “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea. The author says in the book, “ She was a blooming lass of eighteen peaches…” (33). She would have this song on her playlist because it says,” I'm so fancy, you already know”. Another song she would have on her playlist would be “barbie Girl” by Katy Perry because of how spoiled she is . Author Washington Irving says in the book, “...have been playing off any of her…” (80). She would have this song on her playlist because Katy Perry sings, ” you can brush my hair…”. The last song on her playlist would be, “Just the Way You Are”…

The music deeply affects Edna, and she weeps as the pianist glides between the Impromptu and another piece, “Isolde’s song.” When Edna asks if she may visit again, Mademoiselle Reisz replies that she is welcome at all times.…

On a bright spring day in 2015 I awoke to my alarm clock playing “I believe” by Nikki Yanofsky. Awaking to my alarm clock playing this song on a bright spring morning, five years after the 2010 winter olympic games brought me chills. The 2010 winter olympic games was a time of bright smiles and creating everlasting memories. Similarly, this song holds great importance in my life as it reminded me of how families from different ethnicities came together on the streets of downtown Vancouver to celebrate one of the most memorable moments in Canadian history, when Sidney Crosby scored the golden goal to defeat USA in the mens gold medal ice hockey game. This song not only reconnects me with past but also it emphasizes how uniting as one, one can achieve whatever he or she desires.…

    Lil B Song Analysis

My favorite historic song is the song cold war. The artist of the song is the rapper Lil B, the song is about basically african americans dying to try to impress others instead of being themselves. When in reality people should do what makes them happy instead of trying to impress other man or women . My opinion on the artist Lil b is that he is a fun guy and he is funny but when it comes time to be serious he can come up to the table and make a decent song about issues. The most powerful lyric throughout the song is “ Everybody want the throne and then you gonna die alone”, it is powerful to me because it is just stating that while everybody is trying to become the “man” in today's society they should look to improve themselves instead of trying to show off for others. The artist experienced the majority of his friends die over costless things in his neighborhood in Los Angeles.…

A theme song that I chose for myself was Some Things Never Change by Foesum. Whenever I play this song I usually feel two emotions: joy and sadness. The sadness comes from not being able to see friends from high school as much as I was used to. The joy comes from knowing although we do not see each other as much we will always be there for each other. This song was a part of my life growing up in high school, all my friends listened to the same genre of music called G-Funk. Whenever this song comes up on my music player I remember the good times I had with my friends. The lyrics in the chorus go: Some things never change, ain't it strange? How things just remain the same. The meaning behind this chorus is that no matter where life takes you, there are some things about that will never change about yourself. My favorite verse comes in the beginning and it was by MNMsta and it goes:…
