a. When oiled mixed with water- We know that oil and water don’t mix each other so the oil is floating above the water.
b. When water mixed with vinegar- Vinegar is mixed with vinegar and the smell of the water is changed because of the vinegar.
c. When water mixed with salt- We know that there is such kind of salt water like ocean. Like my findings, the salt dissolve in water and the taste is salty.
d. When water mixed with sugar- The sugar dissolved in the water and it taste sweet.
e. When water, oil and dishwashing liquid is mixed- Dishwashing detergent is attracted to both water and oil so the detergent takes the oil and grime off the container and into the water
2. Explain your observation using the concept of
polar and non-polar
- Polar molecules originates to part with involving each components, the best example of the experiment is the water and oil, as water is polar and oil is non polar. The two components does not mix with each other as their separation is different so both does not have a solution.
