What Does Loyalty Mean?

What does loyalty mean? The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines loyal as “having or showing complete and constant support for someone or something” and loyalty as “the quality or state of being loyal”. I agree with that statement. When I think of the word loyalty the first thing that that comes to mind is complete trust, openness, transparency and being there for one another. Today I am going to talk about loyalty in a relationship, specifically loyalty between a husband and wife. I also interviewed my wife- Ayesha, my sister- Humera and my wife’s sister-Fatima to get theirs view on what loyalty means to them in their relationships.
I think loyalty in a relationship is very important. It is one of the foundation pillars, not only between a husband and wife but in any relationship. Loyalty towards a person comes through trust. If you didn’t trust the person you are with then you would not be able to be loyal to that person. As I said earlier loyalty means complete trust to me. I would expect you(my wife) to put your complete trust
I would expect you to be straightforward and faithful to me. I would want you to be earnest and sincere towards our relationship. Loyalty is something that is earned over time when you know the person a little better and begin to trust them. I think it is an important part of a relationship. Another aspect of loyalty is transparency and openness. I think when you are open and transparent in your relationship it leaves no room for misunderstandings or for a third person to create any kind of trouble between us. Being open, honest and real with each other regarding our weaknesses gives us an opportunity to deal with it appropriately and share our feelings and emotions which in turn strengthen our
