Dara Ashlock defined professionalism as the skill, good judgment, and polite behavior that is expected of a person that is trained to do a job well. These are the qualities that are important in becoming a professional. If you are not demonstrating these qualities in the workforce, you are not being unique. Finishing a degree tells everyone that you are trained, therefore higher standards are expected from you. Dara Ashlock provided us with many pieces of advice throughout her presentation.
