What Freedom Means To Me Research Paper
Freedom is the state or quality of being free. The United States fought hard to gain our independence from Great Britain so we can be free people. What freedom means to me is being able to think, speak or say whatever you want freely without constraint. Freedom is important to our country and we are privileged to be free.
The United States fought hard for our freedom, and on July 4th, 1776, The Declaration of Independence was written. Unfortunately, this document caused a war to break out between the colonies and Great Britain. The Revolutionary War was brutal, but in the end our country’s fight for freedom was victorious. The United Stated took over a form of government called a Democracy, or a government in which the people hold the power.

    As President, Andrew Jackson worked to pull apart the Second Bank of the United States. The original Bank of the United States had been introduced in 1791 by Alexander Hamilton as a way of organizing the federal government's finances. This first Bank became invalid in 1811.
