Athletic Training Aides Club:
The purpose of the Athletic Training Aides club is to give real world experience to those interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. Clinton County Middle School students participating in this club will be given the opportunity to participate in the healthcare of Clinton County Middle School student athletes under the supervision of certified Athletic Trainers, EMTs, team physicians, etc. Athletic training aides will eventually get the unique experience of being able to be present on the sidelines of Clinton County home athletic events while being taught the concepts of injury prevention, management, assessment, and rehabilitation.
The students will be given the opportunity to assist the Athletic Trainer with all aspects of the day to day tasks of the athletic training room during various athletic seasons. With that said, participation in the club is voluntary, but will require time, dedication, and will be treated as a job.
Objectives:
For students to learn and gain hands-on experience
To provide a way for non-athletic students to be involved
To encourage students to attend camps, classes, etc.,
