What Is Atticus Finch A Role Model

A parent is not just someone who spawns a child, but someone who “trains a child in the way he (or she) should go”, as Proverbs 22:6 states. And in the film To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus Finch is a role model of how a father should parent his child. When observing Atticus’s morals, conduct, and fatherly advice one can clearly see how he is an influential character and a swell role model. First, Atticus Finch makes his morals clear and that he is willing to stand up for what he believes in. He vehemently tells Scout not to use the “n-word” when referring to an African-American individual. He makes it a point to not judge anyone, even when everyone else is doing so, i.e. Boo Bradley.
