I understand an archetype as an entity that comprises of a set of elements or patterns that are inherited and shared by human race throughout the history. Archetype is a common pattern that is collectively shared by human being regardless of their class, culture, creed, or geographical location. According to Jung, the part of human mind contained a collective unconscious shared by all member of human species. Thus, there exists similarities in experiences and mythological motifs among different civilizations.
In Hinduism, Lord Brahma is the god of creator. It is believed that Lord Brahma is self-born and the creator of the universe. Lord Brahma can be characterized as an archetype because
the idea of god is universal. Additionally, the mythological motif of the creator god is perceived and shared by almost all culture. For instance, Izanagi and Izanami in Japanese culture, Ptah in Egypt culture, Jesus Christ in Christianity. While, a Hero is a character that leaves the ordinary world and maintains the world order by overcoming the darkness in the world for the welfare of the living being. In contrast, villain has opposite personality compared to the Hero.
