I do hard challenges and chores because I get benefits from them, for example:
If I train hard before a mountain bike race then I will hopefully get a medal and be proud of myself. Same as if I do my jobs I get paid, and that is the same as when I get older I will have to get a job and this will enable me to do things that I love doing. You are always making decisions like in the morning you either decide to get out of bed or stay in bed then you choose to either brush your teeth or not, the average decisions that a young child makes in a day is about 3,000 and the average an adult makes is about 35,000. So that is a big difference and proves that the older you get the more independent you become because having to make 35,000 decisions a day makes you have to rely on yourself to make them and hopefully they are good aswell.
I am not in control all of the time, for example if I am bombing it down a hill on a mountain bike track I can get very out of control, and nearly wipe out, so my bike is in control and it is pulling me along. This can be related to other bigger things as well. But it does not happen very often and I am influenced by my mum to stay in control when I am biking. Which brings me to my next
