Miss Strangeworth’s character can be analized by considering what she does, what the narrator says about her and how other character’s interact with her.
Miss Strangeworth’s character can be analized by considering what she does. For example she is cheerful. This is because she goes around and says hey to everybody and they usually say it back.in addition she is cheerful because she comments on how it’s a nice day and how it’s a fragrant summer day. Also as she walks down the road she ask everybody how their day is going. To me that seems pretty nice for somebody to do that. Another reason she is cheerful is because she tries to help people and what they are doing. To me it’s a good sign when she walks into the store everybody turns around and greets her. That is the narrator thinks she is obnoxious. The narrator thinks this because when she want’s to give help she does it like the people are doing something wrong. Like she told helen crane that her child “she is going to grow up expecting luxurious” to me that was rude. In addition she also said” people seem disturbed” to me it seems like everybody has had enough of her. They probably are getting annoyed at her. Also she would time her walk to the post office just so that nobody would see her put letters into the mailbox. To me that was interesting that she would do that. Hense at one point she said” there is evil in people even in this little
town.”
Some of the ways miss Strangeworth was polite was that she tried to help people. To illustrate one of the ways she was polite was she said “good morning Mr. Luis and added politely lovely day”. Another way she was polite is that she would say hi ye everyone she would pass on the way to the store,even walking back she would always find somebody to say hey/good morning to. She also wrote letters to people but didn’t sign her name because she didn’t want anyone to know it was her writing the letters. To me that is polite. In other words Miss Strangeworth wanted to make people feel good. Hense somebody was having a bad day she could cheer them up.
