What Is Psalm 68: 1-11
GET THE WORD OUT

There is a message that must continually be out there, that needs to be published through whatever means or media that is available. And that message is the Word of life, the message of hope, and the love of God to humanity. That God loves us eternally and unconditionally as declared in Jeremiah 31:3, is worth not only celebrating but also ensuring that everyone gets to hear and know about it. That is indeed the best way to respond and reciprocate to God’s grace and love to every beneficiary, and not doing it amounts to not only disobedience but selfishness. That is why Psalm 68:11 declares that “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.” We have all kinds of news every day being dished

Apostle John in 1John 1:1-3, boldly declared that his writing was motivated by the experience and turnaround his life experienced by encountering Jesus. No one can keep quiet if something good and great or wonderful happens to him or her unless that person is an ingrate. That is why in Redeemed Christian Church of God, our main pre-occupation and mandate is declaring to our communities and the entire world the good news of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We have tasted of His love, grace, power, goodness, and faithfulness, and therefore have an obligation to let others hear and know of what has brought overflowing joy into our lives. And in going about this divine mandate, we employ every medium and channel possible through which this message of hope can be let out. It is in the pursuit of this mandate that the Lord laid it in our hearts to commence the publication of “Bread of Life Newsletter.” This newsletter is intended to be an instrument for those who already have established personal relationships with Jesus and those who are yet to do so, to strengthen their faith in Him and embrace His grace and love for a fulfilling experience with the Author of life. We trust God that as you read this newsletter, you’ll find food for your soul, strength for your faith, and power to run the extra mile and do great exploits for the Lord. The Lord has made you for signs and wonders, and He supplies in abundance all that you will ever need to be what He intended for you and this newsletter offers to be one of those avenues of accessing those divine supplies. Let's say, life has not been fair to you, and you are on the verge of giving up, totally depressed or believing that there is no hope anywhere. You are our loving friend on this journey, and we trust God that the Author of life Himself will meet with you and bring a

It reminds people of the love of God and his mercy, and yet causes people to remember His holiness and the truth of His words at the same time. Although this message isn’t perfect, it does provide a strong balance to some of the common teachings that are deceiving people in this generation. Such a message, if preached today, could help the church to wake up from its slumber, and help to prepare believers for the return of…

So far this year, the news stations have been reporting hardly anything but politics. I think Church’s have major responsibilities to communicate the gospel message. We need to remember that it was God’s kindness that saved us. Church’s shouldn’t focus too much flaws and focus more potential. The challenges churches face in today society is how to change with the times so that they can meet human needs without losing a sense of mission and without compromising the central Christian message. Christianity is often misunderstood. Much of the misunderstanding with the local Christian church lies in its inability to be seen as "good" within the local community. The Church by definition is a collection of Christian believers from all over the world and from all times who are bound together by the shed blood of Christ and his resurrected presence. What happens week in and week out in the 4 walls of our churches should be shared with the surrounding community in one way, shape, or form. Churches should feel like a free place that is open to anyone who needs them in any way. It could be simple gestures like offer a public bathroom with a shower during business hours to anyone who needs it. Have church members bring canned foods to service every Sunday and start an open pantry for the local community. It’s these simple things that we take for granted that can have a major positive impact on our local community. Even as we proactively look for ways to reach out to those outside our 4 walls, let’s…

This mission reminds us that for the Kingdom of God to continue to break in, individual lives need to be changed, while being motivated and equipped for transformation. Our Book of Discipline offers this cue: “God has used our church to save persons, heal relationships, transform social structures, and spread scriptural holiness, thereby changing the world.” When we change lives and introduce people to the all-loving nature of God, we indeed transform the world. When making disciples, the Church welcomes people into community, educates them on God’s call for Christians, and equips them toward using their spiritual gifts to serve as change agents playing a role in bringing about the Kingdom of…

Newspapers never tell us anything new, according to Thoreau. He wants to dig "through the mud and slush of opinion, and prejudice, and tradition, and delusion, and appearance" and get to reality (280). Thoreau uses this metaphor to describe the way in which society clogs a person’s life with irrelevant information, and a person’s life is better when it is lived independently from society. The author explains in this paragraph that news should be considered gossip, for it is told with the same storyline and different names. Therefore, people should disregard the news because it makes life impure.…
