slavery constitutional. The Confederate States wanted to institution of slavery in the 1800s.
In Brown V.
Board of Education, in 1954 the Supreme Court constituted segregation. 1954 the Supreme Court“outlawed segregated public education facilities for blacks and whites at the state level to be segregated.” During the time of segregation in our country many years back, the segregation was not fair. When segregation was allowed,it was prohibited everything to be unequal.1954-1964,it has been harsh on African Americans due to the law not being followed by the states.
A man named Martin Luther King Jr. was born in January 15, 1929 Atlanta, Georgia.Martin Luther King Jr. was known for his incredible speech on August 28, 1963.Martin Luther King Jr. had a speech titled ,”I have a dream.”The Speech was a call to the end of racism in the United States of America and for civil, economic, and free rights. Many people disliked and discouraged Martin Luther King Jr. to his fulfilment with racism coming to an end.
To this day there is still racism. In the 21st century there has been more violent acts towards racism and how it’s being treated. Such as an organization Clan called the “KKK,” also known as the Ku Klux Klan. The Ku Klux Klan is a racial group that discriminates towards African Americans. There have been savagery acts towards the Ku Klux Klan also. In Charlottesville, Virginia 2017, a white supremacist rally turns deadly due to onedrive hitting and killing one 32 year old woman and injuring 19 others. In Florida a college student recently gave a speech on racism and
discrimination toward African Americans. Racism is a horrible thing going on in the United States. We can work together and stop protesting and fighting against one another and not accepting people for who and what they are. Segregation has been harsh on this country during the past. We can stop these random acts of terrorism and unite as one and plead against segregation and racism acts.Segregation, slavery, and racism have been along for too long in this country. It has changed the face on this country. The United States Slavery,Segregation, Brown V. Board of Education, all the way to the 21st century have all changed America.
