Juliet can’t be married to two people at once and wants to be with Romeo, so she goes to Friar Lawrence for help. She tells Friar Lawrence that she is going to kill herself, so to prevent this from happening he devises a plan to get Romeo and Juliet back together. Friar Lawrence’s plan was for Juliet to take a short lasting poison and fake her death, then after the poison wore out, the Friar would tell Romeo to get her, so they could escape Verona together. Juliet agrees to go through with the plan because she is looking for any possible way out of her current situation. Unfortunately, the plan does not work out and Romeo does not get the message from Friar Lawrence to go and retrieve Juliet, but instead hears that Juliet is dead from Balthazar. Romeo immediately gets a poison and goes to Juliet's tomb where he kills himself. Once Juliet wakes, she realizes that Romeo is dead and kills herself too. Romeo and Juliet’s death, would not have occurred if the feud had been nonexistent and they would not have had to keep their love and marriage a secret, also Romeo would not have been exiled. At the end of the story, Capulet says “ Oh brother Montague, give me thy hand.
