Caesar still lives on all the way into Act V when we are reminded of Caesar during the parley prior to the battle at Phillipi. Anthony insults Brutus by saying, “Villains, you did not so when your vile daggers hacked one another in the sides of Caesar.” Anthony is implying that they had no problem killing Caesar, why not kill again. Shortly after, Octavius tells Brutus that Caesar’s “Three and thirty wounds will be avenged.” Much later in Act V (scene iii), we are reminded again of the Caesar motif,
