What Is The Mosaic Covenant?
A Covenant is an agreement between two or more people. There are numerous amounts of Covenants in the Bible. The First Covenants is the promise that God made to Noah. This Covenant can be found in the book of Genesis chapter 9 verses 8-17. The Covenant that God made to Noah is an unconditional covenant. The covenant was made after God created a flood that destroyed the entire earth. According to the National Center for Science Education recorded that the flood lasted 40 days and that the waters prevailed on the earth for 150 days and after those days the waters gradually receded from the earth. the actual scripture about the Mosaic Covenant can be found in Exodus chapter 19 verse 24 I don’t know what season the Covenant made but the location it was made at is Mount Sinai mountain outside of Jerusalem. God had led his people out of Egypt from under the cruel and disrespectful Pharaoh. Pharaoh treated the people like slaves and had the Israelites build him Pyramids and statues of himself. Moses warned Pharaoh about what would be brought upon the nation of Egypt if he keeps mistreating God’s people. The third plagues was the plague of of Gnats and Lice which cause even more of a problem inside of egypt. Moses came again to ask Pharaoh and Pharaoh still refused to let them leave , and he rufes the third time.
