What Is The Strawberries Growing In The Field Without Using Evaluative Language
Great ideas in your post, and your examples were great they reflected descriptive and evaluative language correctly. Descriptive language odes exactly what it states describes what is occurring. For example, " The strawberries growing in the field are small and red", this statement describes the strawberries in the field without using evaluative language. Evaluative language changes descriptive statements into "right or wrong" or "good or bad" statements. Quickly with evaluative language the statement, "The strawberries growing in the field are small and red", can change into "The strawberries in the field should not be that small, and ought to be more red". The use of this evaluative language added a negative connotation to the statement.

With all of the things that Kunen has done with his life, his first book is still perhaps his best and most moving piece.…

workers face today? Illegal farm workers have been and continue to be prejudiced of many injustices through history. Despite the 1970 movement, by César E. Chavez, there has not been a radical change in respect to living and working conditions, wage, and improvements in health care. Immigrant workers remain in the shadows because of their legal status in this country. Many feel that speaking up means they will be deported back to their country of origin. Working conditions are of great concern because they face many health risks, from being highly exposed to pesticides to having back problems from being bent all day picking up strawberries and other products. Yet not only are the workers highly at risk, but so are their families and especially children.…
