What Is WALL-E?
I agree with with the message that WALL-E is trying to send everyone because it’s incredibly obvious that it’s showing up in our world now. The clear message that the director of WALL-E was trying to send us was that karma will come back to bite you in the butt. With people in the world who keep on buying materials that they don’t necessarily need and throwing them out just as quickly, to go buy other materials again, there’s absolutely no way that we will be able to keep our planet sustainable. Everyone just keeps on buying and buying and after awhile we just toss it into the trash. Over the last few years technology has gotten further than it had 100 years ago. Everyone is so focused on their phones, laptops and televisions we don’t see what’s happening right under our noses. These days people can’t even go an hour without their phones and that idea is being presented to all of the viewers of WALL-E. If people do continue down this lane of technology then we will eventually end up as the characters in WALL-E did. In WALL-E it shows how the characters wouldn’t look away from their screens at all and would become flustered if they came across a situation where they did have to, sound familiar? This example supports my opinion because it relates right back to what’s happening in the world right now. Everyone is literally obsessed with anything and everything to do with technology. We’re all so invested in our technology that we don’t even realize that how bad poverty has gotten or how global warming is affecting our ozone layer. And none of us are doing anything about it, just like the people on the ship in WALL-E. They didn’t care that their planet was practically a pigsty, and that’s how all of our attitudes are starting to develop. We shouldn’t be too invested in technology because we could be making our own bed and eventually we would have to lie in
