An absolutist Christian would have the idea that abortion will always be wrong as it is seen as murder and the bible teaches “thou shalt not murder”. Therefore an absolutist Christian would claim that there should be no issue surrounding abortion as with it being a sin people should not do it and will be morally wrong if they do. I do not feel this is a good way to deal with the problems of abortion as it does not allow women the chance to take an abortion even if it would be the best option for herself or the baby. Such as if the baby had a disability that would cause them immense pain and suffering or cause them to die soon after birth which I believe is wrong. However an absolutist person who is a non-Christian may seem abortion as right if they don’t want the baby and not see it as wrong at all. Although under this idea that abortion is right if you do not want to keep the baby, woman can have lots of abortions without seeing it as wrong, however this could result for health problems for themselves in the future. They could also begin to use them as a method as contraception which could again result in them catching STI’s etc. from lack of using contraception. Again I do not see this as a good way with dealing with the problems of abortion as if people do end up using abortions for no reason then it might put people off having children because of small problems that could easily be resolved. A relativist would accept abortion depending on the situation that the person has been put into for them to need an abortion. If there was a 13 year old girl who had been raped which resulted in her getting pregnant a relativist would most likely accept that in that situation as it would be the best decision in that situation for the mother and the baby to have the baby aborted. However if a person was using abortion as a method of contraception a relativist would probably disagree with
