Why Abortion Is Wrong
I am against abortion. I believe that it is wrong because it disobeys the Bible and God, kills a human, and hurts the mother. Abortion violates the Bible and God himself. The King James Version Bible states “ Thou shalt not kill” in Exodus 20:13. Abortion is the same thing as killing. Genesis 2:7 says “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Proverbs 6:16-17 says that God hates those who shed innocent blood. Abortion is the act of shedding innocent blood. Deuteronomy 27:25 says, "Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen." Three hundred forty seven babies died since 1973. That is three hundred forty seven humans that could have found the cure of cancer, but because of abortion they never got the chance to. The baby is innocent and has done no wrong. The world got mad at Adolf Hitler and the Nazi because they were killing innocent Jews, but why doesn't the world get upset at the mothers that are killing their own innocent children? Also the baby is a living being. A baby's heart starts beating 18 days from conception. It starts beating at about 3-4 weeks, you won't hear it until around 8 weeks. After an abortion the mother is more likely to start abusing drugs and alcohol. Also some women try to commit suicide. With this procedure the mother's life is also in danger. It can also cause breast, cervical, and ovarian cancer in the long term. Although I am against abortion, some believe that it is okay to have an abortion. They believe that if the mother gets rapped then she could abort the child. I think that you should not make the child pay for someone else’s actions. Also they could say that it was okay if the mother “accidentally” got pregnant. Well if the mother made the decision to have intercorse with a male then she can pick up the responsibility of taking care of her child. Others believe that there is no life, just a fetus.
