Every story needs an enthralling style and tone.
The style and tone helps captivate the attention of an audience the author is trying to write to. For example, if an author is trying to write a story directed to children he or she will most likely use a vivacious style and tone. People claim that style and tone is not necessary element of a story, that you could just write a story without even thinking about the style and tone. But to write a good story you need to have these key elements in your story. If you write a story using a style or tone that the audience does not like or connect to, your story will not be great or
successful. Finally one of the most important things you can put into a story to make it great is a theme. Not all stories have a theme but most stories should. A theme gives the reader a message that can be used in their everyday lives. A theme is important and shouldn’t be told directly to the reader but should slowly build throughout the story so the reader can feel as if they learned something. Without theme it would be a lot easier to predict the ending of the story. Some may state that you do not need theme to make your story great. This is incorrect because without a theme a story would have no meaning and we wouldn’t be able to connect it to ourselves and our everyday lives. Theme helps the audience connect to the story and be really engaged in it. In conclusion the elements that I have chosen to write about are important because without them a story just wouldn’t be a story. Each of the elements play a key role in creating a story, in fact they make a story, a story. Any story just wouldn’t be the same without plot, style and tone, and theme. SO next time you are reading a story look for these elements.
