Not everyone appears to be who they truly are. On January 13, 1999 Hae Min Lee a senior at Woodlawn high school was strangled to death. Her body was found weeks later in Leakin Park. Adnan syed was convicted of murdering Hae. Adnan Syed doesn't appear to have any kind mental disorders but questions have arose on whether he is a psychopath. Adnan has shown many signs of being a psychopath. Psychopaths shows lack of emotion, especially the social emotions, such as shame, guilt, and embarrassment. They can be intelligent, charming, and good at mimicking emotions. They are very violent towards others. Adnan Possesses many of these traits and could very likely be a Psychopath.

worrying to me. To have a relationship with somebody for around half a year and not call her cell phone is very strange. Psychopaths are known for there lack of emotion towards others and are incapable of truly loving someone . I believe that once Hae Min Lee disappeared he didn't call her because he could never truly make a deep bond with anyone because of his mental illness. If Adnan didn't kill Hae he would have at least tried and see if she picks up the phone to check on her, but because of his absence of calls it shows that he might know that Hae is more than missing. Adnan's lack of empathy towards his missing friend is a big factor in him being a psychopath.
Adnan claims that he never killed Hae and continues to lie to family and friends even today.
Adnan did not call Hae because he knew she was dead. He knew this because he killed her. Psychopaths manipulative behavior makes it easy for them to lie to anyone. Adnan felt no remorse for what he did and continued to lie about not killing her even when the people investigating have solid evidence against him. As a kid Adnan constantly went behind his parents backs and lied to them on the daily. His manipulative and dishonest personality make him a prime target for being a psychopath.
Psychopath can be very charming and intelligent. Adnan was both these things. Psychopaths are said to be very good at mimicking emotions meaning that when he was in a relationship with Hae it was never real. Hae could have been the first target of many if Adnan did not get caught. His charm and Intelligence make it hard for people to believe that he killed Hae and that is exactly what he wants. One of the most common things that psychopaths do once convicted of a crime is blaming someone else. Adnan never did blame anyone including Jay. He could have tried to put the blame on Jay but he decided not to. Adnan claimed that he didn’t know what happened to Hae. This is surprising because that is normally right what a psychopath would jump to doing. This piece of evidence contradicts Adnan being a psychopath.
