get Caesar not to go. She knew that something bad was going to happen, but nobody believed
her. If Caesar had listened to her, he might not have been murdered yet.
The nightmares that Calpurnia witnessed had a very important role in the play. She
dreamt that people were bathing in Caesar’s blood in the streets. When Calpurnia tried to warn
Caesar not to go, he didn’t listen to her. Her dreams serve the purpose of a warning. If he listened
to her, he might not have been killed that day. All of the characters were affected by this because
