Certain
people living in this country might not agree with my family’s idea of the American Dream. They might think it’s to be as wealthy as possible and not care how they get it. Others might say to spread the word of God and crush everyone else’s beliefs. To each their own, I say! Personally, I could care less what their version of our Founding Father’s wishes were. As long as they don’t shove it down my throat, it’s all good. I just hate it when people do that. We have a right to our own opinion. That doesn’t necessarily mean we have to force it upon others. I believe there’s an unspoken/unwritten rule about that somewhere. If there isn’t, then too bad, there is now. I think people can agree with me when I say the American Dream should be whatever you want it to be. It could be to have a happy life, to have a big family, whatever. No one should force anything upon you to warp your own version of what you believe it to be. That would violate certain freedoms we have, therefore not really being American, in some people’s eyes. Then again, who am I to judge? I just believe we have the freedom to determine what the American Dream is, just as my family helped me determine what my version of the American Dream is.
