Social anxiety is so strong that it doesn't let you go places or do things that you wish you could do. It gets in the way of your life and it limits your happiness. Its obvious that a person doesn’t want to feel like this, being restrained of social interactions, so one tip that has worked for me, would be challenging your negative thoughts. Whenever I walk into a crowded place I feel anxious and immediately think that I'm going to embarrass myself by saying or doing something stupid which would lead for me to get judged. But if instead of letting my thoughts win, I challenge them by asking myself “How is this is, in any way, relevant to people?”, it could help a lot with overcoming those negative thoughts.
