What Were The Goals Of The Progressive Era
The Progressive Era was a period of time when the United States was be reformed from the late 1800s and the early 1900s. The goals of the Progressive Era was to fix the problems in the economy. Some of the problems that were going on were what was happening to the tenements and that was shown by Jacob Riis’s photos. No one knew what was going on in the meatpacking industry, so Upton Sinclair went in and wrote about what happened in there. Let's not forget to get about women's rights movement was going on at this time. The president that were going the State during this time was Theodore Roosevelt which was in 1901- 1909. He then left William Taft to continue his work in 1909 to 1913. Then in came Woodrow Wilson and he helped finish the Progressive

    The Progressive Era was the turn on the 20th century where different groups wanted to reform our nation economically, socially, and politically. Many people were suffering from The Great Depression during this time.
