Whats In The Bag Speech
Eric Campbell
1/9/2015
Com 231-108
Ms. M. Richardson

Introduction
I.
II. Good evening, my name is Eric Campbell. The bag that I brought today is important to me because my dad got it for me when we started hunting together. I was around 14 and I have used it many times out in the woods, and while traveling.
Body
I. My past item is a cell phone, it represents my past career. I have around 6 years sales experience with cell phones. When I first got into selling cell phones my career goal was to work at Verizon wireless. Unfortunately I have not met that goal, but I have worked at every other major cell phone retailer.
II. My present item is my motorcycle jacket. It represents my love for riding. I absolutely love getting on my bike and riding for hours. It’s my way to escape the stress and problems that the week throws at you. I love riding to the mountains, I have been on some back mountain roads that will scare the mess out of you even in a car. But when you’re on a bike it makes being there so much more enjoyable.
III. My future item is one that all of us need to keep in mind, a diploma. It’s something that I keep in mind the moment I start to slack off. I use it as a reminder to continue to work hard, because in the end this is what I truly want.
Conclusion
I. I brought these items because they are a big part of my life. They are not the only things that I could tell you a story about. But it’s what I felt meant the most to me right now in my life.
II. I’ll leave you on this final note. We all need to remember why we are here today. Not just to be a better speaker but to build confidence in ourselves. We all have great inside of us and we need to dig deep and pull it out.

The reason the poles mean so much to me lies in how much of an impact this event made on me. I felt glad the poles were made usable again, but I realized that they were still owned by my brother. As a result of this, my number one priority became returning the poles either together or in fragments. Upon my arrival, my brother assured me that I could keep the poles and did not care whether I lost them or not. As much of a relief this was, it still serves as a reminder for me today that I should care about the possessions I…

For my present day item to represent my life I believe the best object would be a bald eagle. A bald eagle is the top of the food chain, flying high above the trees as free as a bird. A bald eagle to me represents freedom. Freedom to do as I please just as the bald eagle flies as free as he can be. No one besides the eagle himself determines what path he may fly or what animal he may swoop down and devour.…

My thing carried is a cellphone. It’s convenient, awesome, and just great to have around. It represents everyone’s social status. Keeping up with friends is also ten times easier. I carry it with me always to keep in contact with everyone I know. My phone also serves as a multi-purpose fun machine. I get to play silly games when I’m bored, watch movies I put on my phone. Fight Club, mostly. Every night I make sure to charge my phone. A day without my phone is worse than it should be, but most people depend on their phone. So it doesn’t bother me.…

If you are shipwrecked on a deserted island, then it would be the best choice to choose bag three, which has a saucepan, three granola bars, and sunscreen. You see, my dad is the captain of the U.S. Navy and has survived on a deserted island, too, for 20 years until his friend came and rescued him. Because of his experience, I asked him which bag I should choose and told him the items in all three bags. He said that the most reasonable choice was bag three because the other bags had objects that you could make out of the island’s resources. Therefore, I suggest that you should trust me and choose bag three.…

One of them is that I performed taxidermy on my dog and parrot when they died. Everybody assumes that this was done while I was harboring my son, but they are wrong. I was absolutely broken when I learned that my husband was killed in the war. I felt as alone as if I was on a deserted island. By stuffing them, I am able to remember him as if it were yesterday, even though it was 20 years ago. The replicas conjure up these memories because they were his pets The second side to the “double-edged sword” as the agency man called it is that it makes my home look more inviting and congenial. This is something that, all through my life, I have tried to maintain. Sometimes it seems like the only thing I have to take pride in at this…
