My group wanted to limit standardized tests, at first i strongly disagreed with that idea, i felt that we should take them away completely. But after my group should me their research which included a societal/cultural, economic and a futuristic standpoint, I was able to see different perspectives and hear my teammates opinions and effects that could impact students and teachers, I understood that standardized were not only about assessing a student and teacher, i learned that it goes beyond that. This allowed for me to changed my argument into “standardized tests should be limited”, having a team allows for each member to give different ideas and help out one another when in doubt or when having a hard time deciding. It allowed for me as person to think outside the box and not only go with what I think, having a team is a way where an individual to be exposed to other ideas and opinions that can you your argument be stronger. For me, my group benefited my point of view which allowed for me to have a stronger argument, and being able to have a good group that was able to communicate in a correct and efficient manner also ameliorate me.
I learned a lot through my research, I learned not to generalized and only think one way. Being wrong actually helped me understand and learn more about standardized test, for me standardized tests are no longer simple tests that the students have to take, that are unnecessary. Now they are tests that assess a student's growth, but they should still be limited, since they also have negative effects. Working with a group also helped and benefited me, I was able to think in another way and comprehend the argument in a better
