When I Grew Fit Research Paper
Like many children, I’ve had my fair share of ideas on who I wanted to be, what I wanted to do, and how I imagined my life to transpire when I “grew up”. A few ideas that popped into my head include but were certainly not limited to: a vet, teacher, doctor, nurse, chef, lawyer, actress, ballerina (which quickly faded due to my lack of interest in actually learning ballet), and many, many more. As much as these topics had intrigued me at one point or another, fashion had always seemed to be the interest I went back to after all of my other aspirations faded. Preparation for this major would require varying classes and internships. FIT has exceeded my expectations of what it’s like to incorporate fashion into the business world. FIT is filled
with hard-working, driven individuals; and I believe that I would excel both in and outside of the classroom. I would be misguiding you if I said I didn't want to be the best, and I have high expectations of how I want to apply my education after getting my degree. How I see it is if I can allow my education to be top priority for a majority of my adolescent life, my future will be much more gratifying. The most appealing aspect of a career Fashion Business Management is how interesting and intricate the process of supplying retail stores with merchandise is. Having a profession in Fashion Business Management requires a keen sense of knowing what the customers want before they know they want it. Using persuasive skills is crucial, and this constant demand to always find the next craze drives me towards the fashion world more and more every time I think about it. My family has always told me that my personality could speak for itself, and that I’m outgoing, personable, and easy to approach. The leadership skills I have acquired throughout my high school experience have made me better aware of incorporating many other opinions and personalities rather than my own. Whether it be in field hockey, student senate, student ambassador, or class officer, I have grown in regards to my ability to communicate in an efficient manner.
