When Is Lying Ok Research Paper

When is lying ok? In the four articles it tells us about what people think about lying. It tells us on how they use it on their daily lives. Also they explain to us on how the people that lie start of with a little lie and continue with other little lies to know when they lie and not get themselves on the evidence with the person they told the lie to. And the persons who believe we should never lie will never accept lying. So the four articles tell us of the different reasons people lie for or the situations they use excuses to lie. Some people think you should never lie, others think you should always lie, others think you should sometimes lie. I believe you should sometimes lie.

I believe you can sometimes lie because you are doing it to protect yourself. If you lie your not hurting anyone you are just helping yourself not get in trouble. It's going to be for a good reason. And it's not going to affect anyone if you lie. So you lie to get away with something. Or maybe you lie to out stand your own person. You say a lie to impress people. And like that you get people to like you.
Also, you can sometimes lie if it's a white lie.
So it is ok to lie in certain situations, like protecting someone’s feelings. You can lie to people as long as you are protecting them and not harming them. You are doing it to make them feel ok and not that bad. Sometimes telling someone a white lie can be a matter of life or death. So it's better if you tell them a lie because it will keep them happy but if you tell them the truth it might hurt them even more than the
lie.

Another reason why you can lie is, for example to cover someone up. And like that they won’t get in trouble. To protect them from anything that is going to hurt them. And by lying you are helping them get out of trouble. Anyways you are just saying a small lie that will prevent trouble from someone. You are not lying to harm anyone you are just doing to not get people mad at you but instead helping them.

In the article “Teens do their share of lying” the author Loretta Ragsdell states that you should always lie. He says teenagers lie because they can. He gave evidence on how you should never say a whole lie or a whole truth. I disagree with her because i don't think you should be lying all the time, i believe you should only lie when it’s necessary. Because if you lie all the time you are going to lose everyone’s trust.

In conclusion, i believe you should sometimes lie. And that you shouldn't be lying all the time because then the people is not going to trust you anymore and they are going to think that all you are saying are lies. So it is ok to lie but only sometimes and not to harm but to protect people. There is a lot of opinions for lying like the ones they gave us in the four articles. But it is on you if you want to lie or not.
