White's Argumentative Essay

In White's depiction of the section village, I feel it is a toss up between appearing civilized or uncivilized to the Europeans.
My reasoning behind this is because in the image we see a thriving community with shelter, agricultural resources and people dwelling together in what I can say looks harmoniously. This village may have been more civilized than most towns or communities were in Europe back then. But I do think White painted the native Americans uncivilized savages by painting them unclothed and participating in religious ceremonies and ways of prayer that would far from the Norm
