Most of the heroes in the bible are man such as Jesus, David and Noah all these heroes, are men and not women. Esther was one of the few women in the Bible to be a hero by confronting the King Artaxerxes of what is right and what is wrong. Esther was born in 465BC and the story was written in about the time of 500BC.this was the time when the Babylonians had destroyed Jerusalem and most of the Jews turned into slaves. This was also the time when the Jews turned to exile. This was a great story in the bible because she was one of the only women in the Bible to be a hero. She is a hero because she confronted the king and she was protected because she still believed so God protected her through that time. Jewish faith is to be never broken …show more content…
or they will be punished, historical content of this story is when Esther is born and they main events in her life, the lesson of this story is to never stop believing, male and women are of the same worthiness and men should not be more important then women. Jewish faith is a big belief of all Jews and if you stop believing you will be punished for example Esther is a follower because she does not want to be punished.
The nature of the Jewish God is All powerful he so powerful that he could end the world in seconds, all Knowing he knows and he is in everything and is seeing everything. The God makes a covenant with his people and says if you follow my rules I will protect you and if you fail to follow me I will punish you. The Babylonians invaded the Jews and they all stoped having faith so God started Punishing them for not believing or following him. Esther did not stop believing because she knew if they stop believing that they will be punished so she did not lose faith in God and saved the Jews from death. The reasoning for her being a hero is because she did not stop believing and when she confronted the king she still believed in God so God helped her and protected her, and she was not banished and the king listened to …show more content…
her.
Esther lived in a little time when Jewish people had stopped believing in the God and most Jewish people had become slaves and only somewhere left they were invaded by the Babylonians. This time is called the Diaspora and it was about the 482BC time Esther lives in Susa which is the capital of Persia and she eventually was chosen to become the queen of Persia. However the Jewish people in Persia did still not believe in the God of Jews and they still needed a hero to lead them in the right direction. Men are not the only heroic people in the Bible as the story of Esther shows that women can be as heroic as men, and she was no weak helpless women she was quite strong. She was also quite intelligent, she also was very loving, forgiving, believing and always listened to others.
It teaches Jewish people to never stop believing and no matter how tough the time you all ways Believe In The God almighty or you will be punished and he will not protect you anymore.
Esther prays to God and then she goes to the king and tells him that he is making the wrong decision. The king listens to her reasoning and the reason she was not banished or harmed by confronting the king is because she always believed and if you believe God will protect you. The solution she comes up with is that she must confront the king of his actions. That she has faith in God and that she is willing to lose something to save a whole race. This shows that women can be heroes and that men aren’t always the hero of
stories.
Heroes can either be male or female (in western literature, the hero is more often male) usually, superior than common people in three ways: Morally!!, mentally, physically. They are always morally superior. Moses and Esther both have a very similar life and they both grew up and lived their life very similar. Birth and child hood Moses and Esther were both rose away from their family and they are both close to royalty, they both got to keep their faith secret. Both of them lived in exile, they both have to face evil rulers. They both fight for the races freedom, they both are in average age when they face the evil rulers and then they both made a triumph return. These similarities prove that they both are very similar in their lives.
This shows that women can be heroes I the Bible and that not just men are the heroic people of the bible. Also her story is quite inspiring to some people because they can learn and believe and they will succeed in life. This implies that not all heroes have to be men they can be women. In conclusion women are just important as men and they can do anything men can do.
