Tourist Boards want to enhance the image of an area to attract tourists to the area so they spend money and are drawn to an area and this is one of their objectives. For example, VisitBritain has the role of promoting Britain to the rest of the world to attract visitors and tourists to Britain. National and Regional Tourist Boards main role is to market an area in hopes of creating tourism which in turn will lead to the area getting more money and so benefitting the locals.
