There were only 16 wooden lifeboats and four collapsible boats carried, enough to accommodate 1,178 people, only one-third of Titanic's total capacity, but more than legally required. The White Star Line was was once one of the most successful and powerful shipping lines in the world. Founded in 1845 and today it is most famous for being the owner of the ill-fated RMS Titanic. This catastrophe has impacted sea navigations and The White Star Line is the reason why the RMS Titanic sank which resulted in the loss of many lives. The RMS Titanic is at fault because it had made everyone believe the ship was unsinkable leading to people not taking precautions, the hesitant and unorganized captain and crew that were hired, and the social class structure the boat was arranged in. First off, the company had persuaded many that the boat was unsinkable because the shipbuilders believed they were. If only people actually believed the ship could sink, everything in history would change. Also, The captain and crew were just so dysfunctional, meaning they were unorganized and hesitant. If the crew was just trained a bit more I think more likes could have been saved and everything would have ran more smoothly. As for the captain, all he wanted to do was retire and he probably gave up on trying to be a good captain. Last the social class structure. If this wasn’t even in existence, once again it would have saved more lives would have been saved, a lot more. As for the RMS Titanic itself, it truly was a wondrous ship, with the 16 waterproof compartments that didn’t work all due to the fault of the White Star
