It had many things that caused for it to sink. One design/equipment flaw in January 1912 was that the Titanic had been recommended to have 48 lifeboat, but the captain had changed the recommended number of lifeboats on the ship and had changed it to 16 lifeboats instead of 48. He thought that passengers were interested on the boats instead of the lifeboats, so had changed the number of boats for the passengers liking. But what the captain didn’t know was that he will regret his decision that had killed about 1,500 passengers. Another design/construction/equipment error that the Titanic had was the have decided to start launching the Titanic on april and april wasn’t really a good idea to launch their ship because of the icebergs. The reason for sailing they’re later was because of the sister ship, Olympic. One last flaw that was in 1908-1909 during the construction of the Titanic, the caption of the ship had decided to lower the ship's bulkhead for their grand staircase. If it wasn’t for the lowered bulkheads the Titanic wouldn’t have sunk faster and a lot more people would’ve been saved by the ship
