Tacky did not respect this and jumped in not knowing the steps or words. The distressed team faced the contest with anxiety rather than confidence as a direct result of Tacky. In the real world, this can cost more than a loss at a contest. The unforgiving workforce will eliminate frazzled teams and choose the well put together groups over anxious groups to better promote conformity. Laughing only encourages the negative behavior.
Just as in the story when he repeated the act of messing up the steps due to the laughter, people respond the same way. Children will act silly for hours if the laughs keep rolling, but the minute the audience loses interest is the minute their act ends. It can be fun for a while, but it only teaches the child that acting wrong is encouraged since it makes friends and family happy. They will not be happy when it becomes an every day ordeal. The child will become confused as to why they are in trouble today for what was promoted by being laughed at yesterday. If it had been discouraged, it is plausible they would have avoided misbehaving altogether, or they would understand why they are now
reprimanded. Tackys are members of society that have been encouraged to act out. Some are class clowns or child comedians. While the laughing is fun for a moment, the affect it has is a negative one. Nonconformity hurts society and teaches young people it is okay to misbehave as they grow older. Discouraging the funny outbursts will help to reduce the impact and lead to a more productive future of our world and more importantly, its members.
