Why Conscription Is Important
The conscription allows citizens to have some understanding of what life in the army is like, of what is required of the job, and of what is done to protect the country. Citizens can understand and appreciate the sacrifices that people in the military have made for their country and bring them together. Also by having compulsory conscription it means having an active reserve of people that are ready to respond to any threats to national security.
Many military volunteers who have looked for a change in career have mentioned several other skills and work-related attitudes that helped them in their job. These include teamwork, responsibility among others.
A conscription promotes equality among people, meaning that no one will be excused from
