Setting curfews can help keep teenagers off the roads late at night, especially when it comes to new drivers. Someone could be leaving a party under the influence and get behind the wheel of a vehicle, putting not only themselves but other drivers in danger. A wreck could occur leaving one or more people dead. In 2015, 10,265 people were killed due to drunk driving. Curfews could protect teens from these dangers by keeping them off the roads past a certain time. These aren’t the only dangers that teenagers could face past curfew. There are multiple other reasons, such as arrestments and kidnappings. There have been a number of kidnapping cases over the years. There is one in particular that I had a personal experience with.. Starting up curfews may be able to keeping teenagers from the temptations and possibly out of jail. Creating curfews can help give teenagers rules to abide by, even the ones who don’t have a guardian doing so already at home. Teenagers are known to ride around the city and walking up and down the street, sometimes even going onto private property.
